When the light is best around Canberra.
The best light is the last hour before sunset. Here's roughly when that is.
Summer
Sunset is around 8:15pm in December and January, a little later than Sydney. Days get hot and dry, so a later ceremony and shade for your guests both help.
Autumn
Sunset is around 5:40pm by mid April, once daylight saving ends. The trees turn and it's a beautiful time to get married here.
Winter
Sunset is around 5pm in June and July, and it gets properly cold once the sun goes. We plan your portraits for the afternoon, before the reception starts.
Spring
Sunset is around 7:15pm by mid October. Blossom, mild days and plenty of light into the evening.
We'll go through your timeline with you before the day and work out the best time for portraits.
Hi, we're Isaac and Sam.
We run Bloom Films out of Sydney. We make wedding films. Really good ones!
We started with a borrowed camera and no real idea what we were doing. That was nine years ago. Since then it's been 400+ weddings across NSW and beyond, and we still genuinely love showing up for every one.
The goal has never changed. We want to make something you actually sit down and watch. Not just a record of what happened. A film that holds the feeling of the whole day.
Based in Sydney, and always happy to make the drive down. Lake views in town, cool-climate wineries out at Gundaroo, and big country estates toward Braidwood and Goulburn.

We don't have a template. We don't try to make every film look the same. Each one is made for that couple and that day. The result doesn't look like everyone else's. That's kind of the point.

Can a Sydney videographer film a Canberra wedding?
Absolutely. Bloom Films is based in south-west Sydney and films weddings in Canberra, Braidwood, Goulburn and the country around them. Travel within an hour and a half of our base is included. Canberra, Braidwood and Goulburn all sit further out, so we add a travel cost to your quote.

There's a lot of variety within an hour of Canberra. Bloom Films has filmed at The Boathouse in Canberra, Tallagandra Hill Winery near Gundaroo, Mona Farm in Braidwood and Rhyanna Park near Goulburn.
