When the light is best on the Beaches.
The best light is the last hour before sunset. On the ocean side the sun goes down behind the land, so the beach goes soft and even. On the Pittwater side, venues look straight into it.
Summer
Sunset is around 8pm in December and January. Long evenings, but a 3pm ceremony on the sand can be hot, so shade for your guests helps.
Autumn
Sunset is around 5:30pm by mid April, once daylight saving ends. Soft light and calmer, cooler days.
Winter
Sunset is around 5pm in June and July, and the wind off the water gets cold. We plan your portraits for the afternoon, before the reception starts.
Spring
Sunset is around 7pm by mid October. Warm days and plenty of light into the evening.
We'll go through your timeline with you before the day and work out the best time for portraits.
Hi, we're Isaac and Sam.
We run Bloom Films out of Sydney. We make wedding films. Really good ones!
We started with a borrowed camera and no real idea what we were doing. That was nine years ago. Since then it's been 400+ weddings across NSW and beyond, and we still genuinely love showing up for every one.
The goal has never changed. We want to make something you actually sit down and watch. Not just a record of what happened. A film that holds the feeling of the whole day.
Based in Sydney. We've filmed a bunch of weddings across the Northern Beaches, from Manly to Palm Beach and everywhere in between. The coastline, the light, the relaxed energy. It's hard to take a bad shot up there.
