When the light is best on the South Coast.
The best light is the last hour before sunset. Here's roughly when that is.
Summer
Sunset is around 8pm in December and January. Long evenings, but a 3pm ceremony out in the open can be hot, so shade for your guests helps.
Autumn
Sunset is around 5:30pm by mid April, once daylight saving ends. Soft light and cooler days.
Winter
Sunset is around 5pm in June and July. It's dark early, so we plan your portraits for the afternoon, before the reception starts.
Spring
Sunset is around 7pm by mid October. Warm days and plenty of light into the evening.

We run Bloom Films out of Sydney. We make wedding films. Really good ones!
We started with a borrowed camera and no real idea what we were doing. That was nine years ago. Since then it's been 400+ weddings across NSW and beyond, and we still genuinely love showing up for every one.
The goal has never changed. We want to make something you actually sit down and watch. Not just a record of what happened. A film that holds the feeling of the whole day.
Based in Sydney. The South Coast is one of our favourite parts of NSW to work in. Berry, Gerringong, Kiama, Jamberoo, Bawley Point. The light, the coastline, the venues. We're always happy to make the drive.

Yes. Bloom Films is based in Sydney and regularly films weddings on the NSW South Coast, from Kiama and Berry to Jervis Bay and beyond. Travel within an hour and a half of our base in south-west Sydney is included. Further down the coast, we add a travel cost to your quote. We know the venues, the light, and the logistics of filming in the region.

The South Coast offers incredible variety for wedding films. Top venues include Panorama (Kiama), Silos Estate (Berry), The Pavilion Kiama, Bush Chapel (Kangaroo Valley area), and Coolangatta Estate (Shoalhaven). The combination of coastline, escarpment, and bushland makes every South Coast wedding film look completely different.
